About the SWBC Internship Program Where ambition meets opportunity

At SWBC, internships aren’t about busywork; they’re about building your future. It’s your chance to gain hands-on experience, grow your skills, and work on projects that actually matter. You’ll be part of a team that values your ideas, supports your goals, and helps you build the confidence and connections to launch your career. The program is designed to fuel personal and professional growth by providing the tools, resources, and mentorship needed to thrive in today’s corporate environment.

Whether you're exploring different paths or already have a dream job in mind, we offer opportunities across the company to help you get there. Our interns are hands-on with impactful projects during their time with the company. Interns connect with industry professionals throughout the program, expand their network, and cultivate lasting relationships. Our experienced mentors guide and support our interns during the program to ensure their success and potential.

Real Stories, Real Growth

The culture of SWBC is welcoming, and everyone is willing to help. Having people who are patient enough to guide you thoughtfully is a big help, especially as a college student. I could tell my mentors were invested in my success, whether with the company or elsewhere.”

THEN Sales Administration Intern, The Financial Institution Group, 2022
Even as an intern, I felt like a part of the team. I contributed to an exciting project that was new to the company at the time. Plus, there were plenty of opportunities to work with and explore different departments to make sure my passions aligned with my career choices.

THEN Application Development Intern, SWIVEL, 2021
They had me doing real work. I was calling people to set up interviews and helping with recruiting, and they were taking me through some of the processes. It wasn’t, “Oh, you’re the intern, go get us coffee,” or anything like that. It was more that you’re here to learn real-world situations, and we’re going to take the time actually to teach you what to do.
Jaron
THEN HR Intern, Human Resources, 2022
I know it’s cliche because everyone says we’re like a family here, but we really are. I talk with my manager about stuff I never imagined talking about in a corporate office. She’s helped me so much finding scholarships, and she’s helped develop me, not just professionally, but as a young female in the workforce. She’s helping grow me into the person that I’ve always strived to be. She’s really become like a second mom, my work mom.

Internship 101: What You Need to KnowThings you may be wondering before you slide into our DMs (or applications)

After you submit your application, our recruitment team reviews your resume to see how your background aligns with the internship role. If there’s a match, a recruiter will reach out to connect. From there, selected candidates will move on to one or more interviews with team members or hiring managers. Once interviews are complete, we take a holistic look at each candidate and extend offers to those who best fit the role and our team culture. We do our best to keep you informed throughout the process and provide feedback whenever possible.
Candidates must currently be enrolled and taking classes at an accredited U.S. college, university, or higher education program. Specific departments may have additional requirements such as a degree program, GPA, grade level, etc.
Supportive, welcoming, and team-driven. From day one, interns are treated like valued team members, not just temporary help. We believe in open communication, collaboration, and lifting each other. Whether you're asking questions, sharing ideas, or just getting your footing, you’ll find people here ready to help you grow and succeed.
It’s easy! Just click here to start your application. Be sure to complete the entire form and upload your most up-to-date resume so we can get to know you and your experience.
Correct, if you don’t see any internship listings, we’re not currently hiring for those roles. But don’t worry! New opportunities pop up throughout the year, so check back soon.
Go for it! You’re welcome to apply to multiple internship roles that match your interests and experience. If you’re a strong fit, you may even be considered for more than one opportunity.
Great question! Our internships are designed for current students, so if you're about to graduate, your best bet is to check out our full-time opportunities here. You might find a role that’s an even better fit for where you are in your journey.
All of our internships take place throughout our SWBC offices in San Antonio, Texas, right in the heart of one of the most vibrant cities in the state.
