Auto Insurance

In most states, auto insurance is a must, so why is it so difficult to find a company that looks out for you? What you need is an insurance advocate, who works on your behalf to find a policy that has the type of coverage you need, at a price you can afford.

At SWBC, our agents work with you to discover the right amount of coverage for you and your vehicle, and then we develop a policy that you can rely on in the event of an accident. Whether you need to insure yourself, a spouse, or your children, we have you covered.

Types of Insurance Coverage

*Note: All coverage descriptions listed here are meant only to serve for educational purposes and are not in any way a guarantee of coverage. Always refer to your policy language for the exact details of your particular policy’s coverage.

Liability Insurance

Liability coverage pays for the damage that you do to others. It’s typically broken down into three categories–bodily injury per person, bodily injury total, and property damage. Liability does not cover damage to your vehicle.

Comprehensive Coverage

Similar to collision, comprehensive coverage covers damage that occurs to your own vehicle. The difference however, is that comprehensive covers other losses, like theft, vandalism, fire, flood, etc.–many of the things that you do not have direct control of. Again, similar to collision, you are subject to a deductible.

Medical Payments / Personal Injury Protection

This portion of coverage will pay for medical expenses, and in some cases, even lost wages, if you’re involved in an accident. Options for this type of coverage often vary by state.

Collision Coverage

Collision coverage pays for the damage that occurs to your own vehicle. If you have a vehicle loan through a credit union or bank, you are more than likely required to carry both collision and comprehensive insurance.  Collision coverage is subject to a deductible, which is an amount that you will owe before the insurance company’s payout begins.

Uninsured / Underinsured Motorists

Uninsured coverage protects you in the event that you’re involved in an accident where someone else is at fault and they’re not carrying enough coverage (or any at all). It could refer to just bodily injury, property damage, or to both (varies by state).

Roadside Assistance / Towing and Labor

This coverage will provide you with assistance in the event that your vehicle is disabled, either paid in advance (roadside assistance) or on a reimbursement basis (towing and labor). This coverage often varies based on which particular insurance company you’re working with.

Our agents work with more than a dozen of the best insurance carriers to find you the best deal possible. In many cases, our team can explore other carrier options beyond our multi-carrier network.
