SWBC Leader Appointed Vice President of AEM San Antonio for 2026

SAN ANTONIO, TX (February 12, 2026)—Kenneth Johnson, Director of International Markets & Business Development for SWBC Insurance Services, has been named Vice President of Asociación de Empresarios Mexicanos (AEM) San Antonio for the 2026 term. The appointment underscores Kenneth’s long-standing commitment to leadership development, community engagement, and strengthening cross-border business growth within the San Antonio region.

In his role as Vice President, Kenneth will focus on expanding entrepreneurship programs, enhancing cross-border business resources, and ensuring business owners have the tools and guidance needed to launch, scale, and succeed in Texas. He will also lead collaborations with the Consulado de México en San Antonio to support women entrepreneurs and help relaunch the AEM Young Entrepreneurs Committee—partnering with local universities to provide mentorship, internships, and networking opportunities for students and young professionals.

A graduate of Leadership San Antonio, Class 49, Johnson brings a leadership style rooted in mentorship and service. Before his corporate career, he was a professional soccer player, an experience that shaped his commitment to teamwork, discipline, and personal development. After moving to San Antonio, Johnson co-founded a local soccer club in 2017, creating an inclusive program designed to help players of all skill levels train, develop, and grow. The club served as a platform for giving back to the community—particularly youth—by providing access, structure, and opportunity.

That same commitment to development now drives his work with AEM. Through his leadership, Johnson aims to help young professionals become more business-minded, confident, and prepared to lead—mirroring the mentorship and skill-building he championed through athletics.

“Kenneth’s appointment reflects his passion for developing people and building meaningful connections,” said Kevin Witcher, Chief Executive Officer of SWBC Insurance Services. “His ability to bridge community impact with business leadership aligns strongly with SWBC’s values.”

A proud graduate of The University of Texas at San Antonio, Johnson earned his Bachelor of Arts in Finance and continues to invest in the city that shaped his career.

Founded in 1996, AEM San Antonio has supported Mexican and Latino entrepreneurs for nearly six decades through education, mentorship, and trade opportunities. As the chapter marks its 30th anniversary under President Victor Reyna, Johnson will play a key role in advancing its mission and expanding its impact.
