At SWBC we believe in giving back to people and communities where we live and work. Since our inception in 1976, SWBC has been a leader in community involvement and growth. SWBC employees, through the SWBC Cares program, participate in a wide range of community activities in San Antonio and across the country lending support to local, regional, and national causes.

Making a Difference Nationwide
On a national level SWBC sponsors hundreds of sporting, nonprofit, civic, and leadership events. In addition, SWBC co-founder, Charlie Amato, was instrumental in developing Credit Unions for Kids, a grass-roots program comprised of credit unions that raises money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Today, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals' Credit Unions for Kids program is endorsed by nearly all 50 state credit union leagues and is the charity of choice for America’s credit union movement.
